Our Advanced Technology
We have implemented state-of-the-art equipment into the Jackson Surgery Center, and we are committed to following trends and technological advancements that will improve the care we extend to our patients. We our proud of our commitment and dedication to this specialized area of healthcare treatment. Below we have listed some of the equipment that we use in our surgery rooms.
Two Elite Digital Mobile Imaging Systems (C-Arms)
These systems offer an exceptional image quality and versatility that addresses a vast range of surgical applications. The latest patented GE innovation in C-Arm technology uses a proprietary motion tolerant subtraction technique to produce images not previously possible on a mobile platform. Elite's flat panel monitors set a new standard in movement. They mount on an articulating arm that allows for comfortable viewing from any angle in the operating room setting. The Elite also produces DVD and CD images at a fraction of the cost of film.
Image Navigation Guidance Systems
This computer assisted surgery system is substantially less invasive than traditional surgical techniques. The system can substantially reduce the guesswork in high-risk procedures (neuro, spine, ENT) The navigation guidance system provides the surgeon increased confidence and precision in the use of surgical instruments, thus decreasing operative time and the potential for complications.
Six Fully Equipped Boom Rooms
One of the latest trends in surgical suite technology today, as well as in forward-thinking intensive care units, is the use of boom rooms. Surgical clinicians are used to operating rooms cluttered with equipment and power cables. These boom rooms organize surgical areas for maximum efficiency with eye-popping aesthetics to boot. Clutter-free floors and ample open space surround a surgical table situated underneath several articulating arms that hold high-tech equipment suspended on towers. While only a small percentage of hospitals and other healthcare facilities are privileged to have these installed, those that are undergoing or planning future construction and renovation projects certainly have these in the mix.
Two i-STAT Handheld Blood Analyzers
These analyzers accelerate the availability of critical test information that clinicians require to make rapid triage and treatment decisions. The i-STAT System is an easy-to-use, hand-held analyzer capable of providing time-sensitive test results at the patient's side in just minutes.
